Learning progress
Students have studied Python, data analysis, visualization, machine learning, and modern AI topics through club and community learning.
The club application, school approval, team planning, and Wharton Data Science Competition registration all took place in January 2025.
Community study sessions documented setup, Python, NumPy, pandas, machine learning, data analysis, and visualization.
Fall learning included VS Code and Google Colab setup and Python instruction by Sophia.
Confirmed sessions addressed Sora, AlphaFold, bioinformatics, large language models, transformers, AI distinctions, and deepfakes.
Teaching and outreach
In 2026, the team extended its work through online instruction, the Atlanta Science Festival, and a youth data-science lesson.
The team delivered online lessons on Pandas DataFrames and data cleaning from Jan. 25 through Feb. 18.
Students attended the festival and experienced hands-on STEM demonstrations across several disciplines.
The team taught a youth lesson on data-science concepts, applications, statistics, machine learning, AI, and the data-science process.
